Why it matters.

The label is written by pharmacists and read by nobody. Dose, timing and interactions live in that text — misreading them is not a small thing.

The component skills.

Dose and timing termsWarnings and interactionsStorage and expiryWhen to stop and ask

Practise — activities that produce artifacts.

Decode two real labels ~20 min

Take two medicines from your home. For each, write in your words: dose and when, with/without food, the warning that matters most, and when to stop and ask.

Artifact: Two decoded labels

Ask the pharmacist one real question ~20 min

Take a medicine you're unsure about to a pharmacist and ask the real question (mixing, timing, missed dose). Record the answer and the label line it came from.

Artifact: The question + the pharmacist's answer

Missions — do it for real.

Mentors for this capability.

Matched from real, opted-in DISHA members through the Mentor Intelligence Network — with their trust states shown as stored. Source-listed is not the same as verified.

No opted-in mentors match this capability yet — none are invented. See the Mentors view or the full directory.

How assessment works.

Every submission gets a transparent first-pass against the mission's rubric — what was looked for and what was observed. Verified state requires a real review; the system never upgrades self-reported evidence on its own.

accuracy

Concrete numbers, units and exact values instead of vague amounts

completeness

All parts of the task covered — nothing skipped or assumed away

process_correctness

Steps done in a sensible order, nothing skipped

Accepted evidence: mission_submission, mentor_review, observed_application, work_sample.

Stated plainly — what this doesn't do

  • — This is label literacy, not medical advice — dosing decisions for real conditions belong to a qualified professional.
  • — Submissions are private, self-reported evidence — they never become verified without a real review.
  • — Mentor review for capabilities arrives in a later phase of this module.
