Your state
Why it matters.
A fifth of a harvest can die between field and market. Handling is harvest — and it's where the poorest margins hide.
The component skills.
Practise — activities that produce artifacts.
Drying done right ~90 min
For one crop, learn and apply the correct drying (sun/ shade/ raised bed as appropriate). Measure moisture the practical way before storage.
Artifact: Drying notes + moisture check
Count the loss, then cut it ~120 min
Weigh or count one batch at harvest and after storage. Identify where the loss happened. Apply one fix (sorting, container, spot) and measure the next batch.
Artifact: Two-batch loss measurements + the fix
Missions — do it for real.
Mentors for this capability.
Matched from real, opted-in Lifelong Careers members through the Mentor Intelligence Network — with their trust states shown as stored. Source-listed is not the same as verified.
No opted-in mentors match this capability yet — none are invented. See the Mentors view or the full directory.
How assessment works.
Every submission gets a transparent first-pass against the mission's rubric — what was looked for and what was observed. Verified state requires a real review; the system never upgrades self-reported evidence on its own.
accuracy
Concrete numbers, units and exact values instead of vague amounts
discipline
Consistency over time: dates, repetitions, streaks kept
evidence_quality
An observable artifact: worksheet, receipt, photo reference, recording note
follow_through
What happened afterwards — the result and what changed
process_correctness
Steps done in a sensible order, nothing skipped
Accepted evidence: mission_submission, mentor_review, observed_application, work_sample.
Stated plainly — what this doesn't do
- — Submissions are private, self-reported evidence — they never become verified without a real review.
- — Mentor review for capabilities arrives in a later phase of this module.
