Why it matters.

Facts get forgotten, stories get retold. A two-minute story with a real point carries your meaning further than any slide deck.

What success looks like.

  • A 2-minute story a listener retells with the point intact.
  • Specific details doing the work of adjectives.
  • One story told to move a real decision.

The component skills.

StructureSpecific detailThe point

Typical mistakes.

  • — Stories that wander — no point, just events.
  • — Generalities ('it was amazing') instead of specific detail.
  • — A point bolted on at the end instead of built in.

Practise — activities that produce artifacts.

The point-first outline ~20 min

Write the point of your story in one sentence FIRST, then outline only the events that build it. Cut every scene that doesn't serve the point.

Artifact: The point + the trimmed outline

The specific-detail swap ~15 min

Find every generality in your story ('it was huge', 'everyone left') and swap it for one specific detail a listener can see.

Artifact: The before/after detail list

Missions — do it for real.

Mentors for this capability.

Matched from real, opted-in DISHA members through the Mentor Intelligence Network — with their trust states shown as stored. Source-listed is not the same as verified.

No opted-in mentors match this capability yet — none are invented. See the Mentors view or the full directory.

How assessment works.

Every submission gets a transparent first-pass against the mission's rubric — what was looked for and what was observed. Verified state requires a real review; the system never upgrades self-reported evidence on its own.

Accepted evidence: mission_submission, mentor_review, observed_application, work_sample.

Stated plainly — what this doesn't do

  • — Submissions are private, self-reported evidence — they never become verified without a real review.
  • — Mentor review for capabilities arrives in a later phase of this module.
